			THEME 1 RESURRECTION AND EVERLASTING LIFE RESURECTION.THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. CHRIST DIED, ON THE CROSS. Whose son is He?” They said to Him, “The son of David.” 43 He said to them, “Then how does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying, 44 ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Until I put Your enemies under Your feet”’? 45 Therefore, if David calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his son?” 46 No one was able to offer Him a word in answer, nor did anyone dare from that day on to ask Him any more questions. All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them. 40 Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up. 41 He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers, especially the widows, and presented her to them alive. 42 This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord. Ezekiel 37 1:10 The Valley of Dry Bones. Dry bones getting back their bodies and breath. 37 The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.” 4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. 9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army. Revelation 21 1-8 A New Heaven and a New Earth 21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. 				THEME 2 WHO IS JESUS CHRIST
Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Matthew 16:13-20 Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah 13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” 14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and till others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” 20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah. Storm Calmer. Jesus casts out an unclean spirit (Mark 1:23-28). Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out, “What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” “Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly. “Come out of him!” The impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek. The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching—and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.” News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee. Jesus heals a leper (Mark 1:40-45). A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed. Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: “See that you don’t tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.” Instead, he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere. Jesus raises the widow's son from the dead (Luke 7:11-18). Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.” Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. They were all filled with awe and praised God. “A great prophet has appeared among us,” they said. “God has come to help his people.” This News about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding country. John’s disciples told him about all these things. Calling two of them, Jesus stilled the storm (Matthew 8:23-27). Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

Mathew 5:21-26 Murder21 “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder,[a] and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ ”fool” is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell. 23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. 25 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. 26 Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny. Mathew 5:27-30 Adultery27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’[e] 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. Mark 10: 1-9 Divorce Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them.^2Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”^3“What did Moses command you?” he replied 4 .They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away”. 5“It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied. ^6“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female. ^7‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, ^8and the two will become one flesh.So they are no longer two, but one flesh. ^9Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Mathew 5: 33-37 Oaths33 “Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.’ 34 But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; 35 or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. 36 And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. 37 All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. Mathew 5: 38-42 Eye for Eye 38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’[h] 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40 And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. Mathew 5:43-48 Love for Enemies 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 18:6 Causing to Stumble ^6“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Those who injure others do commit the egregious sin of murder. It is not upon you to judge others. Judgment is for the Lord. For all of us have sinned in one way or another. And fallen short of God’s Glory. Do not rush to explain misfortunes, illnesses, death with witchcraft and superstition. Just because of the deep feeling of loss and pain. All of us will fall ill from time to time and eventually we will all die at some point and these things SHOULD NOT be attributed to witchcraft and superstition. Deuteronomy 18: 10-14 And do not let your people practice fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, ^11or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord. TEACHINGS AGAINST HOMOSEXUALITY Leviticus 18:22 “‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.’” Romans 1:26-27“Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10“Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” Jude 1:7“In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.”

John 21:18-19^18Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” ^19Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow me!” Acts 12 1-11 Peter’s Miraculous Escape From Prison 12 It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them. 2 He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword. 3 When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread. 4 After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover.5 So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. 6 The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. 7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists. 8 Then the angel said to him, “Put on your clothes and sandals.” And Peter did so. “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me,” the angel told him. 9 Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision. 10 They passed the first and second guards and came to the iron gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went through it. When they had walked the length of one street, suddenly the angel left him. 11 Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.” Acts 16:16-40 Paul and Silas in Prison 16 Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a female slave who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. 17 She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” 18 She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.19 When her owners realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to face the authorities. 20 They brought them before the magistrates and said, “These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar 21 by advocating customs unlawful for us Romans to accept or practice.”22 The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. 23 After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. 24 When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. 34 The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.35 When it was daylight, the magistrates sent their officers to the jailer with the order: “Release those men.” 36 The jailer told Paul, “The magistrates have ordered that you and Silas be released. Now you can leave. Go in peace.”37 But Paul said to the officers: “They beat us publicly without a trial, even though we are Roman citizens, and threw us into prison. And now do they want to get rid of us quietly? No! Let them come themselves and escort us out.”38 The officers reported this to the magistrates, and when they heard that Paul and Silas were Roman citizens, they were alarmed. 39 They came to appease them and escorted them from the prison, requesting them to leave the city. 40 After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia’s house, where they met with the brothers and sisters and encouraged them. Then they left. Job’s great suffering even as a righteous person The book of Job in the Bible tells the story of a righteous man who endures immense suffering, both physical and emotional, as a test of his faith. Despite losing his wealth, family, and health, Job maintains his faith in God, though he questions the reasons for his suffering. His friends offer misguided comfort, accusing him of hidden sins, while Job grapples with theodicy, the problem of reconciling God's goodness with the existence of evil and suffering. Ultimately, Job's story explores themes of faith, suffering, and God's sovereignty, challenging conventional understandings of justice and retribution.  Key aspects of Job's suffering: Loss and Affliction: Job experiences the loss of his possessions, children, and health, including a painful skin disease. Accusations and Misunderstanding: His friends accuse him of sinning and attribute his suffering to divine punishment, misinterpreting his situation. Questioning God: Job wrestles with theodicy, questioning God's justice and the reasons for his undeserved suffering, even as he maintains his belief in God's power and goodness. The book of Job explores the problem of reconciling God's goodness with the existence of evil and suffering. It challenges the common belief that suffering is always a direct result of sin. Faith and Perseverance: Despite the immense pain and confusion, Job ultimately demonstrates unwavering faith and perseverance, refusing to curse God, even when challenged by his wife and friends. Lessons from Job's suffering: God's Sovereignty: The book highlights God's ultimate authority and control over all things, even in the face of human suffering. The Limits of Human Understanding: Job's story reminds us that we cannot always understand God's ways or the reasons for suffering, but we should trust in His goodness. The Importance of Faith: Despite the challenges and questions, Job's story emphasizes the importance of maintaining faith in God, even when we don't understand. Comfort in Suffering: While Job's friends offer unhelpful advice, the story also underscores the need for genuine empathy and support during times of suffering. The Power of Lament: Job's laments and prayers, though filled with anguish, are a testament to the importance of honest expression and wrestling with difficult emotions in the presence of God.

1 Corinthians 1:10-17 A Church Divided Over Leaders ^10I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. ^11My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. ^12What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas”; still another, “I follow Christ.” ^13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? ^14I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, ^15so no one can say that you were baptized in my name. ^16(Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) ^17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. Mark 9:38-40 Whoever Is Not Against Us Is for Us 38 “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.” ^39“Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, ^40for whoever is not against us is for us. ^41Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward. THE SEED OF THE GOSPEL

The Parable of the Sower 13 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. ^2Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore .3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying. “A farmer went out to sow his seed. ^4As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. ^5Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. ^6But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. ^7Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. ^8Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. ^9Whoever has ears, let them hear.” ^10The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” ^11He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. ^12Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. ^13This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. ^14In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. ^15For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’^[a] ^16But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. ^17For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. ^18“Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: ^19When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. ^20The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. ^21But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. ^22The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. ^23But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” The Parable of the Weeds ^24Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. ^25But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. ^26When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. ^27“The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ ^28“‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ ^29“‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. ^30Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”.
						THEME 17 THE SUMMARY
God the ( Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit) instructs us to be God Fearing. To Love Him. To Love Others. To have compassion , Pity Mercy, kindness, To forgive others, that we too be forgiven, To be Moral( stay away from sexual immorality, Homosexuality, to be just, Sober, Humble, Obedient, peaceful, Honest, Keep His commandments. Believe in His Son Jesus Christ, resurrection and everlasting Life. To trust in God. To thank Him. To pray. To worship Him. To bless his name, perseverance patience. Hopeful. To spread the good news gospel. To partake of the body and blood of Jesus Christ ( in the form of consecrated bread and wine as we were instructed. To stay away from Sin, Hate greed, strife, envy and jealousy. To repent when we fall and return to his infinite mercy. Like the prodigal son did. So that we live in His Kingdom forever . Eternally. The parable of the last judgment Matthew 25:31-46 The Sheep and the Goats ^31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. ^32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. ^33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.^34“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. ^35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, ^36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’^37“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? ^38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? ^39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’^40“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’^41“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. ^42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, ^43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ ^44“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’^45“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’^46“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” The Ten Commandments Exodus 20:1-17 1 And God spoke all these words: ^2“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. ^3“You shall have no other gods before^[^a^] me. ^4“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. ^5You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, ^6but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. ^7“You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. ^8“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. ^9Six days you shall labor and do all your work, ^10but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God.
